I buy them thinking I'll wear them but they end up in my drawer for a year then I throw them out. Too much work and I'm worried when I take them off i'll take my real lashes with them.

When they are done this way they look pretty good.

I've never had them done though... no real need.

I like to make them out of spiders. They look nicer because they're organic.

That's what always ended up happening when I used to buy them. Plus no matter how many tutorials I've followed in the past, I just couldn't get them to stick and in the back of mind I always worried that if I did get them to stick, one would end up in my plate or in/on some place other than my eyelid. I know these days a lot of people have them professionally applied for long or short wear. These lashes do make the eyes stand out nicely, but I'm going to just stick with mascara for now.

I like the way they look on some women (when not overly dramatic looking.)

But like others, I buy the lashes and futz with them, but can never get them to look right so they end up getting tossed or sitting in a makeup drawer for a year plus only to be tossed.

An Asian friend of mine has very little, short natural lashes, so she gets the extensions done (which are basically professionally applied lashes which last a few weeks to a month). They honestly look great. They would look natural except you can tell they are longer than what someone with her eyes would naturally have, but otherwise, the "root" looks like its growing out of her skin.

I buy some fun ones with jewels & stuff on them to wear when I go out, but like others here, I cannot get them to go on comfortably, so I too end up tossing them. I have big eyes & rather good lashes naturally, so a couple coats of mascara works well enough.

I knew a woman who wore them to work everyday, and she said it took her a lot less time to apply them than mascara. I've never been able to acquire the knack, and would probably wear them if I could have.

I think they can look great, but I'll admit that this is the first time I've heard of a man having a preference for them.
