I'll wear them around the house but that's about it. My father always told me...."never go out in public with footwear that you cant run or fight in" LOL.

You nailed it. Loafers or boat shoes in shorts without socks have always looked terrible.

It always looks like some poor guy had his wife dress him up to look like a "Ken Doll".
