The canvas "Wrap Around" in the top photo are cool. Slip in no socks. I wear all the time. "The Bare" I wear in warm water and out on the beach.I wear flip flops out my deck drinking a beer with my little buddy Thunder but that's as far as it goes.
The double standard of flipflops/sandals not being okay for men, but acceptable for women is fascinating. Women wear them because they are comfortable, and so do men. Why the issue? Men have just as much a right to not look at your feet if that is in fact the weak argument presented.

I wear these all the time. Very comfortable especially when driving.

I'm going to go ahead and make myself a target by saying that I think many of the places that women wear sandals/flip-flops aren't very appropriate, either. The only difference is that more women- certainly not all- keep their feet in much more presentable shape than men do. So that's something at least.
In any case I wish we could save sandals, flip-flops, Crocs, whatever for the beach, poolside, or back yard. Sure as hell not the workplace, ugh. And that goes for women too.
that is gross and sounds like a nightmare workplace

Once in a while we do have clients who come in wearing shoes with no socks, and if they stay too long, their foot odor lingers...that is FAR, FAR worse than bare toes.

The OP is male. He is asking about HIS footwear. If we're bringing females into the discussion, I think they look just as inappropriate on women unless they're at the beach or a pool party. What's the matter with a pair of cute sandals?
Wear whatever you like. I don't mind. But don't put it on me if I don't take you seriously.
Who gives a damn what other folks think. When it's 100+ degrees outside I wear what is comfortable.
