Purple right now. I go Thursday to get them done again. I go every two to three weeks. Some weeks they seem okay to wait the extra week and others I tear them up in less than two weeks.

My fingernails an toenails are natural (meaning without nail polish).

My toenails are red. It's still sandal weather here.

That's why I wear gloves to wash dishes. Plus, I can get the water boiling hot.

Today they're a clear jelly pink. I have a current thing for the clearish look, but my toenails are russet-bronze frost.

Bronze color fingernails with a bit of sparkle. Just got them done. Toenails still pink from when I went to Florida last week. I have to change the color on them! Its colder where I live so my feet are hidden anyway

My daughters told me fingernails and toenails should always be the same color. Is that not the rule these days? I'm still trying to get used to seeing blue and green color they use.

My nails were just awful. This morning I worked on them, shaping, getting all the paint spatters off them. Then I used the polishing sponge, all 4 sides, and then rubbed the oil in. I've really damaged them recently with all the hard work I've been doing. Hope to get them a bit healthier before I color them again.

I like to take a clear polish and put a few drops of pink or red in, shake it up and polish for a shiny rosy look for every day. Lasts longer because it doesn't show damage as much as a dark color.

I never match. I generally like dark or bright colors on my toes, and light colors on my hands. Though this time of year I love a reddish finger nail!

I just did a different wine like color for my holiday party tomorrow. Hopefully it lasts nicely through the weekend.

Yup...the 'jellies.' They fascinate me. I created a couple of my own, following a Youtube video, but admit to splurging on the Dior version.

Well I thought I'd update my thread. Part of my new year's "resolution" is to paint my nails more.

There are 3 reasons it for the resolution:
1. I am a compulsive multi-tasker, I can't watch tv without reading at the same time. Then I miss all the important stuff and have to rewind over and over again. My ability to focus at home has seriously declined. Painting my nails is a good multi-tasking but not multi-tasking thing to do.
2. I like how painted nails look and I am terrible at it. Practice makes perfect.
3. Fits in with my self-care resolution and it is a cheap hobby. The goal of self-care is to clear my head. I have an over-active brain. While I love reading, reading doesn't always help with that!

So since I am home recovering from a cold I painted my nails tonight. And I chose OPIs My Private Jet. It is a darker color than I typically choose, but I also liked the hologram sparkles.

Too much toluene in nail polish, I won't paint my nails.

It will likely be confirmed as a carcinogen in the next 10 yrs.
