I'm pretty practical. For years I didn't buy things for myself as I was raising children, and children always came first regarding shoes and clothes etc. in my household.

Now, I buy shoes seasonally. This year I bought new snow boots, first time in years as my others were looking pretty rough....I'll save those for around the house shoveling show.

I usually buy new summer shoes every summer because I prefer cloth type summer shoes and those wear out or get garden stained....Stained are relegated to yard work.

I buy a new pair of quality tennis shoes every 3 months or every 300 miles, whichever comes first. I wear them out.

Interesting -- I have to ask since I googled it -- why that shoe? What made it so special to you? Not judging, just curious. I'm sure it's pretty rare / unusual so is that part of it?

Photo for those curious:

As for me I bought four pairs of shoes recently from 6pm. I don't usually buy more than a couple pair a year but a lot of my shoes are 5-10-15-20 years old and have gotten pretty worn out so I've been replenishing some of them lately.

The oldest pair of shoes I have is an original pair of Chuck Taylors my dad had as a teen. They are just as comfortable (or not comfortable) as the modern ones. They really haven't changed a bit.

Lately, I have a shoe problem. I've bought uh....6 new pairs. in the last month and a half. I'm resisting a few new pairs, too.

I last bought shoes in early 2016. I don't look for shoes until my current ones need replacing.

Bought a pair today, 2 pairs about a month ago, and snow boots right before Christmas. I probably bought about 6 pairs last year. Buying a lot of shoes is a recent bad habit. Prior to the last couple of years, I had a lot of old shoes.

I must buy 4 pair every time I buy a new bag; flats, heels, boots and sandals. I'm a firm believer in matching bag, shoes and belt.

I think my shoe habit may be hereditary; my mother was deeply puzzled about all the fuss created by the amount of shoes owned by Imelda Marcos!

Lately I've been looking at a deep green bag...now my shoe shop guy says he's thinking about a vacation to Europe soon.
