Oh, I can think of many that are worse.
  • Jeans that hang off the wearer's a$$ exposing their boxers
  • Cutoff jeans with pockets that are longer than the cutoffs
  • Culottes
  • Zubaz
  • "Canadian Tuxedoes"
  • Mullets
  • Crocs
  • Words like "Juicy" emblazoned across one's a$$
  • Massive shoulder pads on women
I could probably go on...

All they do is reclaim OLD styles and claim it as their own and pretend like they invented it.

What are "hipster glasses"? Post a pic or link because I have no idea what you are talking about.

Horn-rimmed styles, mostly.

These also saw a resurgence in the late-80s/early 90s during the grunge era.

I have a pair right now that I use for computer work. They're similar to the everyday pair I wore in 1992.

I'm 70 and I've seen styles come and go over the decades. I couldn't find frames I like when everything was skinny granny glasses that made you look like you were squinting. I prefer the classic Savlie row sort of British style -- now they're in style again, apparently, so there are plenty of frames that fit my taste.

Frankly, I don't care if hipsters are wearing them "ironically" or appropriating them for their own purposes. I've always worn what I like, and to H with what the rest of the world thinks about it.

I like urb sincr I have been able to find interesting and flattering glasses easily now. Hope this "trend" aka re-hash is here to stay. My glasses have never been more flattering and I have been wearing glasses since I was 5. I still wear my contacts often but I no longer feel unstylish when I put on my glasses.
