IDK... I've got fairly long hair as a guy, and maybe that disqualifies me from commenting, but I just can't imagine a "man bun" I mean a pony tail is sort of on the fem side too, but damn.... that man bun thing, I just wouldn't do, there is a young guy that lives across the street from me and he's got one I see him walking around and it's flopping around, LOL, even as a ponytail guy without much room to talk I just can imagine looking that feminem. LOL
You can't go anywhere nowadays without seeing a few hipsters rocking a "man bun".
Ladies, are you responsible for this trend?
Actually, I get the feeling that some hipster must've traveled to India a couple of years back, and copied the hairstyle of some Indian holy men there.
I'd say the manbun trend is on its way out. It was more of a 2014 thing. I know a guy who sported a man bun in the summer of last year, but now he's got short hair.
a lot of city boys have them here in brooklyn NY, they do not look girly at all to me.....its not uncommon to see it here.
its just a little trend thats all, nothing more nothing less.
Live in NYC as well.
First a man needs to have some hair to make the man-bun thing work. Just like guys with fine/thinning or basically bald a few strands of greasy hair secured into what is supposed to be a pony tail, those top knots look silly unless they have thick and long enough hair to pull it off.
Everything over two inch is too much (talking about hair, right?)
