check to see if garage door is down. Lock door in laundry room next to garage, lock two lanai screen doors , two sliding glass doors and front door. Turn on night light, dog has to go out, unlock one sliding glass door and two lanai doors, wait for dog to come back. Relock the lanai doors, and sliding glass door. Check the dogs water bowl. Plug in my phone, turn off my PC. Turn on garage lights and front door light. Turn off tv. Turn off lights in the house. Tell the dog to go to bed. Get a bottle of water , put on side table , take shower go to bed . A zombie walk ritual.
Right before I go to bed:
Brush teeth
wash face
yell at kids that are still awake
While in the bed:
Turn on fan on high
open windows or turn on AC, room has to be cold
talking to husband in bed about meaningless crap
read a book
look at my my phone in case I missed something important
Husband might want sex, if I'm not to tiered he gets it.
Sleep
at 5:00 am my daughter, 3 comes running into our room and crawl down next to me and kick me until 6:30 am
At 6:30 am I'm up and the day start.
This is the fashion and beauty forum ... I thinkt he OP was looking for responses regarding your grooming/beauty routine. Not necessarily locking doors, letting out dogs, setting HVAC, etc.

I was interested in just the "beauty" ritual since this is the Fashion and Beauty thread, but it is interesting to see all the responses. I feel like I am getting more high maintenance since I got older, sometimes if I am really tired I skip a few steps, but I always brush my teeth and either floss or water pik.
Shut the cats out of the master bathroom
Let the dog into the bathroom so he can lie down next to me
Close the curtains on the windows so early dawn hunters
walking by in a.m. will not see me (live in the country)
Then:
Tie my hair back from my face
Wash hands
Brush teeth, floss, use mini brushes between teeth
Use eye makeup remover pads
Wash face with remover lotion
Every couple days use Buff Pad or exfoliant
Apply eye cream and moisturizing lotions, rotating
brands and types depending on skin condition
Apply lip balm
Brush hair or sometimes put in curlers (yup, still use them!),
Use nasal spray and take pills
Decide if more heat needed in the room or microwaved
heat pad
Turn out ceiling light, turn on bedside light
Go to windows to look out at the stars and moon
Pet the dog goodnight who has moved to his doggie bed in the room
Watch any low fly by a C-130
Climb into bed, read awhile
When hubby gets into bed, kiss him goodnight
Put in foam ear plugs
Lights out and say my prayers silently
and try to find a comfy position for falling asleep
turn off the tv
take vitamins
neti pot sinuses
give the dog his Greenies toothbrush
boost him onto the bed (he's short!)
brush my teeth, floss and rinse
eyedrops
put on my "night-night cream", coconut oil, almond oil and lavendar oil melted together and let it solidify slightly. Helps me sleep.
Get into bed, lip balm and almond oil my hands and feet.
turn off light, then turn back on and put more almond oil on my hands, since the dog licks it off as soon as I lay down!!
snore.....
Take off work clothes, put on VERY plush and soft pajamas or nightgown, robe, and comfy slippers or fuzzy socks.
Wash face with mild cleanser either Nozema, Cetaphil, or Ceravie, no moisturizer in summertime, very light one in winter (my skin is STILL oily and prone to breakouts at 56). Also, I live in a humid climate, not a very drying one. When I did live in a more drying one, I needed a heavier moisturizer in the winter time.
Brush teeth, floss, rinse with whitening mouthwash
Apply hand cream and lip balm (CANNOT go to sleep without doing this)
Usually pour a glass or wine or make hot herbal tea, and add a light snack such as good quality chocolate or cheese
Light a candle (or two)
Turn on gas logs if it's a chilly night, watch TV or read my Kindle in my favorite chair
Go to bed (extra firm mattress, double pillows, pillow for between knees)
Fall asleep nice and cozy - no cats, no dogs, no hairy snoring men. Blissful.
