So I was watching Sunday bunch last Sunday and they showed a clip where Russell brand was talking to someone and he asked the guy what his name was and the guy said Dave and he said "you,re not Dave " so I was wondering whether anyone has experienced anything like that?
People who talk with me on the phone first are always shocked to meet me in person because they are expecting a much larger person. I have a relatively powerful and deeper voice for a woman and I'm relatively small at 5' 3" and 115 lbs.
I've also been told that I don't look like my real name, lol.
I get told that I look more like a Alexandra or Anne all of the time.

Whatever Alexandra or Anne looks like
I get this too. For some reason, people often think that I project my voice "too much" because I am a grown 5'1" woman. I'm like, "who have you all been talking to lately? Wallflowers?"
While I haven’t ever been accused of having the wrong name, my voice doesn’t match up with most peiople’s expectations (or assumptions).
I have a super California accent, I talke really fast and have a slightly high voice. Apparently that means I should look like Alicia Solverstone circa Clueless. But I am a late 30s black woman.
My last name indicates that I am fat (starts with O and the rest is kinda weird and ugly foreign Dutch sounding). Apparently, I have a voice that makes guys on the phone think I am pretty (I have no idea why). It is not smokey or anything, I find it rather plain.
I do think I look like my first name Evelyn but in the US, this is often a name for old black ladies, so I don't know.

brown hair, brown eyes. Rather conservative looking. Library girl style.
