Exactly. With high end jeans, a size 12 would never fit in a 31.

What does, say a size 36 correlate to? Would it be a size 12?
A size 14 in womens is a size 36 in men...roughly. A 12 -/+ 34. I wear a 36w in pants, and have capris in sizes 12&14.

I used to work at Guess eons ago, but I'm sure I would have learned this one my own eventually. Just subtract those 20 something sizes from the # 21 & that's what size it is. Don't ask me why it's 21 though, but it is.

For example, a size 29 is 29 - 21 = size 8

If you buy jeans made of expandable (aka stretch fabric) - the size doesn't matter. It's almost like one size fits all ... lol

That's how I buy jeans and the fit is nearly perfect...waist/inseam

Women's sizing numbers are all over the place and not even consistent....

That should be a size 15. I used to work at the Guess store & whatever the # sizes are, you subtract by 21.
