This a link to a pink polo shirt for men. Go to the link and click on size chart. You can see what the measurements are for yourself. Waist measurement for XXL is under 40”.

But have a look. Check Gap too.

Don’t bother with Old Navy. (Just my opinion)

Sorry, my bad!

I have actually bought mens clothing out of Old Navy for myself and the quality is considerably better than what they offer for women. I can't really comment on the sizing because I take the smallest size they have, but given that, those sizes tend to be pretty consistent across different types of clothing.

I was wondering, how is the fit of Gap, Old Navy, or Banana Republic? I normally wear a size XXL with my usual brands. Are they true to size, run large, or run small? Most sites say Gap and Banana Republic run large, but I would like some opinions here.
Not as large as they used to.

Just got a sweater from Old Navy over the holidays. Says 2 XL but fits more like a XL.

I avoid those three.
I am a guy.
Their cuts are horrendous. (All three brands). So boxy. Especially if you have broad shoulders and small waist like me.
Although BR and Gap are true to American size. Comparing that to say ZARA or Uniqlo, where M = S since they are fitted more for European / Asian market.

I got a sweater; cotton/poly blend, from Old Navy that fits great. They aren't as boxy as they used to be. But American sizes are back to what they used to be (before the 90s). So it fits right.

Banana Republic was always fitted, even during times when Old Navy and Gap were boxy, baggy. I never saw Banana Republic with a generous cut.

If most of your clothes are XXL, Banana Republic will be XXL also. I find their clothes for men run pretty standard.

Most of my shirts are XL, and I buy their t-shirts at XL and they fit great.

Note that I am open to spending my gift card on jeans instead of a shirt. How are the fit of the jeans? I am a size 42.

I own three pairs of jeans, two are from Banana Republic, lol (other is Boss). They have different cuts, but I think they fit great and are pretty true to the size, maybe slightly bigger. I have larger than normal quads, and I hate bagging clothes, but a lot of slim cut do not fit me, so Banana's jeans are pretty nice, last long time also looking in great shape.

For men's jeans, there are a variety of cuts at BR. Mr. diva is on the slim side, so he usually gets slim cuts. He got two pairs about a year ago, one a darkish denim and one a navy wash, and they've both held up well. He's a 32/32.
