Laying on the floor, sucking in just to get the zipper up, lol.
Ha! I remember before going out with friends each of us taking turns laying down and having a friend use pliers to pull up the zipper.

My parents used the "squat" test on us before allowing us out of the house. We had to squat and stand up to prove that we could actually move in our jeans. We became experts on how to do this move in tight, tight jeans!

Dang it. I've got to learn how to embed a youtube video.

Anyway, I remember Jean Nate products and Tickle deodorant. My older cousins used them and I couldn't wait to "need" them, too. Great scents!

I still occasionally use Jean Nate' for nostalgia's sake. I have the powder, lotion, cologne and splash.
Have you seen the price it goes for now?

Yep, you were on your way to being a woman when you wore Jean Nate... lol. Wonderful scent. Very refreshing and lasted all day in school! Yes, I've seen the price.

Had to google Evening in Paris. I definitely remember the bottle and I think I remember the scent. Very unique.

Some of my fondest memories of my grandmother are shopping and lunch at the downtown Woolworth's.

Darling Daughter used to absolutely scorn my bell bottoms. Said she'd never be caught dead in them.

She pinned her jeans tight with safety pins on the outside in the Eighties. It took forever in the morning.

I told her, "Watch it, Offspring! Some day you will eat those words." Now I laugh at her when I see her in flares.

....and using the hook of the hanger in the zipper to help....and then pushing down the pockets with the hanger too because there was no way your hand would fit!
