Hello girls, I am new on this forum I registered because I have a small problem and I need your opinion.
I have long curly hair, and in the morning when I wake up is very tangled. Not always, but most of the time it is. A friend of mine insists that a silk pillowcase is very helpful. I researched the web about it and people are promoting these satin and silk pillowcases with magic benefits for your hair. Is anyone here using them? What do you recommend me, silk or satin? And is there any good brand or shop from where I can buy one?

Thank you all
xoxo Aly

I use a silk or satin hear wrap and it cured my breakage problem. Definitely recommended.

Having wavy hair, I go to bed looking half respectable and wake up like a moster from World War Z.. Im sure someone comes to my room during the night and stands me on my head... nothing at all calms it down and I have to wash it every day.

I've been using one for about 5 months now and don't have much in the way of breakage anymore.

I hadn't really given it that much thought other than I heard it was good for your hair and skin and thought it was soft and smooth ... so why not but now that I think about it, I do have better hair. Skin I can't tell a difference but I don't appear to getting many "new" wrinkles.... hmmmmm

Same here, I swear by satin silk wraps. The other type of wraps result in breakage.

Yes I have silk pillowcases and very straight hair, their also great for preventing facial wrinkle, the face slides against the silk pillowcase so that it doesn't crunch...

Are we talking about silk? Like natural silk as opposed to satin-y cotton or other fabric? And does it help with straight hair for breakage also?

I'd be concerned that silk would make me overly warm.

I've been wanting to get satin pillow case, but i'm worried about sweating in the night on one of those... I have a large mane of semi-straight hair and it sure makes me sweat sometimes. But at the same time I have a thousand split ends, maybe being more sweaty at night will be worth it?

I have really really long straight hair and I usually put it in a very loose braid at nite. I don't have problems with split ends.
