I guess it depends on the person. For me, I have problem skin & have been prone to acne most of my life, so generic moisturizers & cheap makeup? I don't think so, that's part of what made my skin worst in the first place. And I agree with the shampoo/conditioner comment. I can't really use store-bought hair products. Except I have found one that you can buy at Target that is not so bad & pretty cheap. John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Lustrous Conditioner---if you leave it in for awhile, it can be decent. Still not salon quality, but ok. I have become a firm believer that you get what you pay for though I wish there was a cheaper alternative for me. It sure is expensive to be a woman

I agree. I love Elizabeth Arden, Dior and Chanel lipsticks. I was soooo hoping some of you had cheaper alternatives! But I have tried out things for decades and I always go back to the dept. store brands, LOL. Just worth it in the longrun. Cheap lipstick is always a disappointment (for me, anyway) I am always open to recommendations if someone has found a winner, tho!
