My daily everyday watch is the
Timex Ironman I know it's pretty boring right but it does everything I want and it's great for running and doing splits in the pool etc. My other go to watch is The
G Shock GA 1000 Watch I love this watch I mostly wear it when traveling for work for the ability to change between 20 or so different time zones etc. Lots more features that I will never use for sure but I really like it.

Technically, it's more of a capacitor than a battery but it functions the same. Eventually, they do wear out if you keep the watch long enough. Those are great watches. I just purchased a Blue Angels version to wear on certain trips.

What's really ridiculous are people who try to tell me, "but if you get a better watch it will last longer and be cheaper in the long run". LOL, sorry but I don't think so. I just replaced a ten year battery on a $70 field watch last year. I did it myself and the watch is good as new.
A high quality quartz (battery) or automatic (self-winding) inner movement alone costs about $40-50 retail, whether Swiss or Japanese. I hope no one falls for the high-priced "Swiss-made" sales pitches in jewelry stores. Fossil, Seiko, and Citizen are just as good as any high priced luxury watch. There are also well made Chinese and Russian watches that are less expensive.
