I never ever wear any flowers, or geometric shapes on clothes as I dont think I look good in them..IM small and stick to plain jumpers with v or boat necks... I never look at floral tops ever, they always look old and too fussy for me.. the only thing I will sometimes wear is stripes going across, I like that... is there anyone else like me with patterned clothes...

Nope. I’m pretty much the opposite ... most all of my tops have some sort of pattern.

Me too, dizzy and I'm small too and sometimes just feel like florals, bright patterns overwhelm me or they just aren't 'me' for some inexplicable reason. I do have some prints but always in subdued colors.
But when I do wear one of the few I did buy to try to liven myself up , people compliment me...or maybe they just like the shirt?

I stay away from florals...they seem elderly to me. I do like stripes and other embellishments on tops. I have a few tops with smocking and decorative stitching that I like. Besides that I force myself to buy pretty colors, because my comfort zone would be black or white or navy.

I'm solids-only wearer (guy). I'll accessorize with pattern (tie) and don't have issues with Linings that are patterned (tartan), but nothing that covers a majority. I'm a big enough guy at 6'4" and 230lbs that it seems to be too much. Don't do stripes as they REALLY make things bad (don't need to appear taller or fatter, thanks).

I'm starting into making my own clothes and can see doing a patterned bottom placket (the part of a shirt that the buttons/button holes deal with), or top edge to the pocket(s). But not for daily-wear.

I've been like this for my whole life, never did like patterns.

IM a black ,plum, brown or deep green khaki and never stray to the bright..although I admire friends who wear bright or jazzy tops.. maybe its to do with personality too as Im quite shy..

There are certain patterns that I like--small, more graphic floral prints, stripes, even polka dots--but for the most part I stick with solids and use accessories prudently.
