I once bought a short-sleeved chambray button-down shirt several years back, and after bad experiences with wrinkles, I felt like I should stay away from chambray.
I wonder, does all chambray wrinkle easily? I have avoided chambray for this very reason. One style of weave that I have become a fan of recently is natural stretch poplin, which is quite comfortable and holds its shape well.
If the chambray is 100% cotton and has no wrinkle free treatment, then yes.
I’ve never run into anything except cotton chanbray, and never seen any that did not wrinkle.
I do love the fabric, but I do agree that it wrinkles. It is as bad as linen, or cotton corduroy,
Sometimes I’ve seen a heavier, less wrinkly fabric that mimics the look of chambray.
