I haven't followed all of the links, but look for "laser-cut" panties. (That's a description, not a brand.) They are extremely thin and have no stitching or band of different fabric at the edges. I think Target usually carries them, but I've found them at TJ Maxx and a number of other retailers.
I was trying to find what I have to show a picture and I decided to look up "slip shorts" that others had posted, and that's pretty much what I have for those types of situations! If you don't want to use a thong, which is a good option (but without butt support), then I'd go for those.
That's what I wear under my maxi skirts, which are also thin clingy fabric. I buy the assets by Spanx that are sold at Target, but Jockey also makes a good pair of slip shorts.
I've tried the "seamless" undies over the years but they never seem to really be seamless. I have some pants that are a really lightweight fabric, and need the right undies that don't show the panty line. (I'm not going commando in a business setting. )
