I haven't followed all of the links, but look for "laser-cut" panties. (That's a description, not a brand.) They are extremely thin and have no stitching or band of different fabric at the edges. I think Target usually carries them, but I've found them at TJ Maxx and a number of other retailers.

That's what I wear under my maxi skirts, which are also thin clingy fabric. I buy the assets by Spanx that are sold at Target, but Jockey also makes a good pair of slip shorts.
