A woman has been left feeling “scared” and “anxious” after she says her hair fell out in clumps after using products she believes had been tampered with.
Ashley Rose bought Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume shampoo and conditioner from a Walmart branch in New Richmond, Wis. last week. She used them for the first time on Sunday, and posted on Facebook about the experience — sharing a photo of the hair that fell out, and describing what happened after she was done washing and conditioning.
Why not? It's pretty traumatic to have your hair fall out in clumps. A wig isn't exactly frivolous. And I can't blame her for wanting to pursue compensation for damages.
Many years ago I was reading "Teen" magazine and it had a story of a teenager that picked up her leg hair depilatory by mistake and used it to wash her hair, thinking it was shampoo. She submitted pictures of herself and the experience she had going through the process of having no hair, peoples reactions and styles she used to regrow it. I always wondered in the back of my mind from time to time if anyone with malicious intent could ever tamper with shampoo products and add a depilatory product in a store.
It’s hair that will grow back. Scamming money from people isn’t going to help her hair grow back faster. But we all know the money isn’t about her hair.

I'm confused. What's it about then?
I've never had a problem with GoFundMes. To me, just because they're out there doesn't mean I'm required to give. But I've always thought of it as "Hey, you do you". I don't attach any morality to them one way or another.
She didn't bother contacting either Pantene or Walmart, going straight to gofundme.
Walmart checked its surveillance, finding no evidence of tampering. What they did notice, is the woman making the purchase days before she said she did, and opening and sniffing multiple products before purchasing one. And she's not responded to that, either. Now, police are investigating.

Most depilatories have to stay on a certain amount of time to work. I find it a little unbelievable that someone would not get a clue when the "shampoo" didn't lather and that it would make the hair fall out in the short time it takes to shampoo one's hair. But these stories make for an interesting read I guess.
