I had forehead wrinkles in high school. I’ve always used a moisturizer with sunblock, but still have sun damage due to birth control + living in Florida even with sunblock use. I notice wrinkles the most after I go into the office, which is like a dehydrator.
Reason I asked is because a girl I went to school with who would be 33 now said she was buying some wrinkle cremes and was talking about them, and I thought that sounded way to young to worry about them.
It's way too young. She'd do much better to buy a strong sunscreen, avoiding the sun as much as possible, and be sure to get plenty of sleep daily. I'm assuming she doesn't drink, or rarely, and doesn't smoke.
I never worried about wrinkles and loved spending time at the beach in the sun. Now, at 72, I have no more wrinkles than most of my peers, and many of them are fair skinned and long avoided sun. What I have noticed, though, is that the very thin ladies and those who smoke or once smoked seem to have the most wrinkles.
Started noticing fine lines between my eyes on the bridge of my nose, around my late twenties but I'm not worried about it. Anti-wrinkle creams are a scam IMO...if you get old, you'll get wrinkles.
As someone else mentioned wrinkles aren’t even the only aging skin care factor to worry about. There’s jowls, sagging skin, dryness, spots, some people’s overall facial structure seems to change. I know a dermatologist who has flawless skin thanks to restalyne, no wrinkles at all but there’s just something that gives away her age.
I am 57 and I'm not worried about wrinkles. I drink plenty of water, use sunscreen, and good moisturizers and I always have. I don't have any significant wrinkles and I don't mind looking my age because I am not ashamed of my age at all.
If someone’s worried about wrinkles because they think it makes them look old, you can be wrinkle free and still look old. That’s why people who have had cosmetic surgery, although less wrinkles, almost always still look their age. Maybe better but never really younger. It’s loss of fat and skeletal changes. Have you ever watched a movie and an actor had “old” wrinkle make up on to make them appear aged? You can always tell it’s a younger person underneath.
I don't worry about wrinkles - I just got out of the hospital and am grateful to be alive. Priorities.....
