I think it includes adaptability to change, new ways of doing things, staying open minded, admitting someone younger has some newer and better ideas and it's time to hand over the reins.

I stay current and active mentally, and I choose clothing that covers up the stuff that is no longer flattering.
I’d say I wear the same styles as younger women, but I want my dresses to cover my knees, and high necklines to cover my crinkly old cleavage. I prefer a bit of sleeve, if possible, although my arms aren’t too bad.
I know there are 60+ year old women with very nice legs, but short skirts and shorts look inappropriate to me.
Letting my mane grow long and gray.
Wearing what I want to wear.
Speaking my mind.
Owning my life.
Being selective regarding who is in my life.
Keeping possessions that accentuate my happiness.
Acknowledging my failings, faults, and amending my behaviors.
Loving fully, freely, without abandon.
Practicing gratitude and forgiveness.

I get what you are saying, and agree that with age should come the self assurance to be yourself.
For me, “wearing what I want” is wearing what is appropriate.
Focusing on HYGIENE....nose hairs, ear hair, cheesy feet, unruly eyebrows, sweat and smell management, teeth brushed **3 times a day. Dress appropriately with style. Hair kept short and neat.
That's all you can do but many people give up on that. God forbid if I give up on myself !
To me it means not fighting Mother Nature and adjusting and adapting to getting older.
