I recently discovered that I still have a vampire style cape ( given to me as payment by a quirky antique store owner as payment in my teens ) and what with Halloween coming around , I'm seriously considering wearing it while riding my motorcycle as a sort of " Biker Dracula " theme .

That said the question of how fashionable capes are these days in general also popped in my head , since I've literally never seen people wearing capes outside of Halloween .

Wearing a cape on a motorcycle sounds terribly dangerous!

IMO capes or anything that hangs loosely like a paper sack is a bad idea for fashion....specially if it's too long. It's like they have tried to become fashionable & I've seen a couple on the runways a couple yrs ago..BUT nobody is buying into it IMO. Tbh I wouldn't even want to wear one for Halloween.

Wasn't she wearing a scarf though ?

Anyways I actually have a cloak broach type contraption that may very well keep it from getting caught in my wheels , though I doubt it's even that long , but thanks for the advice regardless .

Vampire style capes outside of Halloween, goth, and cosplay are not fashionable.

Capelets and other drape-y style cape/shawl/wrap/poncho type things or whatever they're called, are still popular for women, though.

You do you. If you enjoy wearing capes then don't let what's 'in' stop you from doing so.

Getting caught in the wheel is only one potential danger. A backdraft could also lift the cape up and blow it over your face. Motorcycle wear should always be fitted.
