I saw the Hyaluronic Tinted Serum by L'Oreal recommended by a few different "older" influencers that I follow and I grabbed some over the weekend to give it a try and I really like it. I"m not really a make-up wearer but I find now that I'm almost 52, a little "properly applied and placed" make up does help make me look less tired and "haggered". The L'Oreal product is really light (although it's buildable if you want more coverage). And it's an "inexpensive" drug store option. People have compared it to the Armani foundation which gets recommended a LOT!

I don't wear makup because I'm a guy but a rose in full bloom needs little enhancement. One can only gild the lily so much.

But on the other hand, it never hurts to slap some paint on the old barn.

I use ELF matte putty primer for large pores. You can then put a foundation or serum over that or use it alone actually. I like wet n wild photo focus stick.

But if I was on a deserted island and was allowed one make up, it would be lipstick hands down. Especially with my silver hair! My fav right now is Revlon "mauve it over". Or "blushing nude."

I find the true nudes too light for me and can't find the color that Kim Kardashian wears. She never looks washed out.....

Sadly I am allergic to all mascaras it seems....

ETA: I only use primer and foundation on my nose and extend it a little beyond that, just the "center of the face" and then chin. I try to avoid the foundation lines at jaw and hairline. And different neck shade if that makes sense.
