Do people in your area walk around wearing flip flops all the time? In Phoenix, practically everybody but myself it seems wears flip flops everywhere, even to school. I think it's disgusting personally, having to look at people's bare feet. What ever happened to the old "No shirt, no shoes, no service" rule? State where you live and whether or not this mode of fashion is common.

Haha. I have noticed Arizonans love to wear their flip-flops year round. I can't say that I've ever come across a person as disgusted by flip-flops as you. You must be close to vomiting every time you go outside.

I don't look down when I walk, so I fortunately don't see many people's crusty feet; but if I did, I'd probably feel the same way as you.

Miamians LOVE their flip-flops too. When I lived in New Jersey, I noticed that flip-flops where popular during the summer months, but were pretty much non-existent during the fall, winter, and spring.

I'm from NJ and I'd say flip flops are big with younger people (25 and younger). I rarely, if ever, see older people than that wearing them. On my college campus, they are HUGE. Like Miamiman said, they are mostly worn in the summer, but they are worn during warm spring/fall days too. I have also seen a few idiots wearing them during the winter as well.

I don't mind flip flops. But I do mind Crocs! They are the ugliest shoes I've ever seen!

San Diego is pretty much the same way with people wearing flip flops year round; all ages no matter how young or old seem to wear them here. Unless I'm at work or have pants on for a dinner, nightclub, cold weather, ect... I'm pretty much in shorts and flip flops. I don't look at feet so I really don't have a problem with it, it's just more comfortable to me.

I wear sandals, open on the back.

I wear them year around. If you don't like my feet then best to look away.

I can't stand wearing shoes, I don't even own a pair of socks. One of the things I LOVE about Florida is that the weather permits this.

i have to agree to the ^^^^ poster... i can't stand shoes, especially in a city with a year round mild climate. i don't like the fact that shoes restrict the air flow to my feet so i don't wear them too often; only when i go to a night club or some other formal event. i like the fact that my feet can breathe when i wear flip flops and in turn, this regulates the temperature of the rest of my body on warm/hot days.

i think u know where i'm from! and i'm 23, so of course i wear them!

People here wear flip-flops ALL the time.

I usually only wear them in the summer.

It doesn't bother me if other people wear them, as long as the wearer has clean, groomed feet (which most people out here thankfully do!). Seeing crusty, dirty feet out on display is a pet peeve of mine.
