K12144 said some ppl are more confident with a mask on so IMO that’s making it about a lack of self esteem about their looks.
I disagree. People can judge you because you look young, look old, are super attractive, are not attractive, and fail to address your other features. I don’t think that is a self esteem issue but a sad reality. If someone looks young and people talk down to them because of it, the mask is likely to help.

But if you feel more confident with a mask on...that has to do with self esteem IMO. If you are confident...then how they judge you means nothing.
Definitely noticed the same thing about myself
All my wrinkles are around my mouth
Without my mask I look just like my mother dead because her wrinkles were around the mouth to
My skin is so sensitive to hair removal i’ve let my mustache grow in
Yeah, unfortunately masks have become an integral part of the new religion. They won't be going away.
Until people start resisting the masks en masse, nothing will change.
I think they have to go away eventually... With the the vaccine rolling out, why the hell are people willing to wear masks for much longer? I never wear my mask outdoors anywhere and never will.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. I am wearing it indoors when going away from home as it is city code now. However, when I am outdoors , off it goes.
When I get the shots, then I will be more open to ditching it.
I don't think people look better with masks on. I think men look scarier and some downright creepy with masks.
We all look like a bunch of zombie apocalypse people walking around. I don't think they look normal or attractive, I don't care who you are, age, sex or what you have going on with your appearance.
Probably for some people. Marionette lines, jowls, smokers lines, the weird pebbling of the chin, random chin hairs, all disappear. But you still get to see crows feet, eye bags, elevens, and forehead wrinkles.
Most of my visible aging is taking place of the bottom half of my face, so... lucky me?
To my way of thinking, forehead wrinkles and crows' feet are arguably less of an issue than what happens in the mask area, because those things don't really alter the shape of your face the way, say, jowls or chin wattles would. I'm fortunate in that I don't have them yet, but I would even rather have eye bags than jowls.
