I went into an Ulta Beauty Store and Sephora and ended up more lost. I can't decide between purchasing a chemical sunscreen like SuperGoop or a Physical one. I have eczema/sensitive skin so it sounds like a physical sunscreen is best for me. However, I'm very dark skinned and physical sunscreens tend to leave a whitecast. How do I decide?
I will forever avoid sunscreens containing zinc as they have stained my leather lounge and the leather seats in my car. I think zinc is a common component in physical sunscreens.
Substances that stain your clothes and leather are avobenzone, oxybenzone - turning
white fabrics yellow (remove with weak bleach or lemon juice), and titanium dioxide and zinc oxide on dark clothes leaving white powder-like stains (remove with rubbing alcohol).
Please check the ingredients list on the tube/bottle.
