DO you like them? I keep seeing ads online. They claim to be comfortable. I am tall and size 11 like the OP, so I totally understand how hard it is to find, nice, comfortable flat dress shoes.

I went to a wedding last week and considered buying a pair for with my dress, but I didn't.

ETA, I also love your dress!

I would suggest ballet flats from Aerosoles, and dress them up with a bow.
Your dress is simply lovely, OP.
Be comfortable and enjoy this special day!

I haven't seen Aerosoles in stores for quite a while but they are (were) very comfortable. Softsteps was/is another company that I liked.

Thank you.

Does anyone have a comparison between the Rothys and the Vavaias?

I feel like the Vavaias look a bit nicer.

I am a big Rothy's fan and have several pairs. I depends on which style as to how they will fit. There is a lot of trial and error with them. Is your foot normal or wide? If normal width and going with the round toe flat I highly suggest a full size up. If the point style then 1.5 size up. Loafers are a full size and drivers a half size up. If wide then you need to up those by a half size. They just run small.

The thing with Rothy's is they will shrink ever so slightly after you receive them. They ship with a cardboard form and once you take that out then they are considered "resting". Let them rest a couple of days and they should hopefully fit you well. You also want them just slightly loose because even over time (if you do not store them in the forms or shoe trees) they will shrink just a little more. But trust me, they are worth the effort. They wash up in the washing machine and are just like new. I find them to be comfortable but they do not have arch support.

Thank you this is so helpful. I tend to be wider in the forefoot with a high arch and a narrow heel. I sometimes have to go up to a 11.5 or a 12 if shoe is on the narrow side. If a shoe is wide I am more of a 10.5. Once you get past size 9 in Womans shoes it is rare to be able to get any choice of width at all which means I go up in size and rarely do they every fit me right. I just wear them too long in length to gain the comfort level I need.

When is the Wedding. I'm in NC too. my friend just went to her son's wedding, with a Navy dress and borrowed shoes from a friend. I guessing it's inside so you don't have to worry about being cold.
The wedding is out of state and in March. Ceremony is outdoors on a lake and the reception is indoors. The ceremony is at sunset with the reception going until 11-12-ish

My daughter in law got married outside barefoot. Long beautiful dress, no one knew. Love her, she has a hippy spirit like me.

I feel your pain and up the ante; I wear size 12.

I really like Propet brand shoes, they make my feet happy. They're about the only brand I wear anymore.

They come in larger sizes and widths (and maybe smaller, too, I've never needed to find out). They last well; I just recently tossed the first pair I bought, must have been five years ago.

Many are casual, some are dressier. The cloth ones can be tossed in the washing machine.

Best deal is usually buying new on eBay, probably 1/3 the original price. I'm guessing they are something like Amazon returns.

I actually got a pair of Propet boots for a November trip to Europe a couple years back. They were very comfortable but ended up being way too wide on me (I ordered a wide) once they eased up. I wore two pair of socks to accommodate for this the rest of the trip and in the end it was a good thing they were too big because I broke and dislocated my toe and because they were so wide I was Able to wrap my foot up and get it into that boot "painfully" so I could get myself on a plane home! I will see if they have anything that would work.
