My wife obsesses over her nails and goes every 2 weeks, at $60 to $80 a pop. I mentioned that I didn't think that was normal and was told that in fact it is perfectly normal.
If I could afford it, I would go more often. But a manicure is usually $35-ish around here. I go maybe once a month for a mani ... maybe every other month for pedis.
I think for higher maintenance women, it is typical.
I’ve never been to a nail salon and have no interest. I could do all that to them myself, if I wanted. In the summer, I’ll do it to my feet once and then just painty toenails otherwise.
Plus, at a salon, you run the risk of picking up a nail fungus. The dermatologist brought that to my attention.

Is it?
I know many women that do that if that helps so I'd consider it quite common. Some of them treat the appointments as "must do" can't reschedule critical too.
I go every two weeks, without fail. However, I don’t spend as much as your wife. Most women who have acrylic or gel nails get a fill every 2-3 weeks, and nearly every woman I know has them.
Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but very normal to me.
Yeah, if your wife has acrylics or gels, every 2-3 weeks is very common. They start to grow out, and it doesn't look very good.
