What is "ving"? Vinegar?

My teenage daughter has terrible acne, and we did finally visit the dermatologist a few years ago. The Dr. tried just about everything with no success, then wanted to try Accutane, but we were not willing to try that. From what I have read it affects bone growth of children and young adults, etc. etc. There was a long list of potential side-effects. Eventually we tried Pro-Activ, and that is what she still uses. It works pretty well, although you have to be consistent with the daily treatment. I can always tell when she goes to bed without watching her face, her face breaks out again by morning.

The only "natural" tip I can give you, be sure to use oil-free products on your teenager's face.

Yes. It works for you too if you have dull skin if you want to try it out.

White is best. I like to use it post oil/sugar scrub full strength. It really burns for a few minutes post scrub but it makes you skin look great.

I had a doctor recommend drinking a big glass of warm water and lemon juice, but it never worked for me.

The only thing that eventually worked was a prescription lotion called "Cleocin-T". After two weeks of using that my acne was gone.

Someone mentioned tea tree oil. I find it to be very harsh. I've had the most luck using a drop or two of Helichrysum essential oil and a few drops of Galbanum essential oil in a nice fixed oil like hazelnut or jojoba.

Jojoba oil, btw, is not really an oil. It's a liquid "wax" which is why products that contain it are considered oil-free. Hazelnut oil is astringent and works well on acne prone skin.
