I always wanted to get a vanity. I never have just because I havent found the right one yet...LOL I know I could get whatever but I would like to find something cute that makes the area feel nice and comfy for getting ready or winding down.
So...do you have a vanity?
Where did you find it?
I have this fantasy about finding one of those art deco small dressers with the vanity area in the middle and the two sides of drawers flanking the vanity table top and large oval/circle mirror. I also have the fantasy of it being affordable. LOL
Yes..I would also like one of those old fashioned travel make-up mirrors with the lights built in. Not from the 70's 80's but older than that. In bone or powder pink. That period of pink was the only pink I really liked. yellow toned and creamy.
Tried to put on make-up in a bathroom with one burnt out bulb on the left.
Did the final check. had to wipe off the left side...LOL
I used to have this absolutely divine vanity. You wouldn't believe where I found it...
Big Lots Furniture.
It had the perfect lighting. It also had an adjustable height thingy on it - so that if I was standing, I could use it. If I wanted to sit, I could. I really miss it!!!
When my house was built, I wanted to make sure I had that one little spot in the master bathroom. I like it, but i find myself sitting on my bed leaned against the headboard applying my makeup. What a waste! lol.
I used to have a vanity but when we remodeled, I made sure my vanity was built into the bathroom. I love it. I have an antique lighted mirror that looks perfect there. Unfortunately, the antique seat that my mom gave me broke last year so I'm using a simple folding chair now.

I thought I was the only one that did this! I'd turn on the tv and watch the news while sitting on the bed putting my make up on.
I always figured it came from having one bathroom for 6 people growing up then only one bath the 1st few years we were married.
