ever notice the new era of people that ride Harley's seem to have full arm tattoos? like they are trying to look the part of being an Outlaw Biker or modern day hippy?
Ok I guess I don't get the generlization because we have a group of about 20 harley riders in our group and not one has the full sleave. Matter of fact only about 5 of us has tats at all.

are these people posers?
I ride a Harley and I have no tattoos, and the only piercings I have are a single set for earrings. I also don't look like a "typical" biker chick.
Is the question implying that the "old era" Harley riders DIDN'T have tattoos then? Or it was just okay for the "old era" to have them but not the "new"? Why would the new era be posers and not the old?
And why does it matter anyway if anyone has tattoos? To each his own.
another thing I notice is Harley riders are snobbish
I was riding a Japanese crotch rocket and waved to another passing biker riding a Harley and he gave me the middle finger salute or the bird.
You're assuming it had something to do with the bike you were riding I guess.....maybe it didn't and there was another reason he gave you the "salute".
Maybe you should post this question in a different forum - you might get the real scoop.
We are in an urban area with a few universities and I'll tell you what, excessive tattoos are not exclusive to Harley riders. It seems like every young adult I see has tons of tattoos.
Well, the Harley Davidson used to be a symbol of freedom and a way to flout the conventions of society.
Today? It's the official symbol of the American Mid-Life Crisis, as in "Hi, I'm Larry. I'm an accountant with three kids, a mortgage, and a wife who nags me constantly. If it weren't for this motorcycle, I would have stuck my head in an oven by now."
As far as tattoos go, they're just a leisure suit that you can never take off again. It's funny how such a subversive art form has become such a cliche.
