Compared to you I have a small collection of shoes but in my own opinion I probably have more than most other guys. I have about 19 pairs of shoes...so am I gay also? If this is true then when was someone like my wife going to tell me? Just kidding! I guess we are both gay!

I wouldn't be too concerned about some gal's opinion. Who is she anyway?!?! I say if you spend the time and money to look sharp when your out in public who cares how many shoes you have or how full your closets are. I'm envious of you that you have more shoes than I do!

I hope my post made you laugh, that is what I intended to do is make you laugh...

My concern is the 130 tennis shoes.

Why do you need that many sport shoes?

As a woman around your age, seeing a room with 200 shoes in it would scare me off. Not because I'd think you are gay but because I'd be worried that you are very vain and frivolous with your money.
I wouldn't want to walk into a room with 200 star wars figurines either and I'm not sure which one is worse.
If any room in my house is going to contain just shoes, they better be my shoes and not my honey's! LOL

Depends...if someone lives in an apartment, townhouse, or smaller house, the room could be smaller than many walk-in closets. Some closets are easily on par with a three car garage, so it's all relative. I'm not a fan of labels, though, and metrosexual is just another label affixed to a guy, solely for having an extensive shoe wardrobe.

I have a whole room in my house devoted solely to my ballroom gowns and jewelry. I wonder what that makes me.

I don't know that metrosexual or gay is how i would perceive this. Accumulating 200 pairs of footwear in around 6 months sounds more like an OCD issue to me.

They say "Clothes Make the Man." Therefore, you must be quite a man! Nothing wrong with liking fashion...and yes, your 'friend's' comments were out-of-line.

I don't see owning so many pairs of shoes as a sign of being gay. My own preference is to have about 5 decent pairs of shoes.
