I love heels and I agree most women look better in heels but I HATE to see women who either can't walk in heels or the heels they're wearing are killing their feet.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE high heels! (and I'm a tall mofo. )

I prefer a thin 4" heel. I love the way they make my leg muscles look and I find that I watch my posture when I wear any type of heel.

Hell, even my flip-flops have a 2" wedge!

As for the dominating question, I will say that I command attention when I walk into a room no matter the type of heel. Part of it is just being tall in general and the other part is that I'm usually dressed and presenting myself differently with my posture and walk.

Wait...did you really just say "platforms"??? Those who love history tend to relive it. Platforms were gone with the 90's.

Thank you!! I can't wear high heels, they cause my feet great pain. I can wear low heeled shoes with extra padding those.

One summer I worked a job where even though I was wearing walking shoes, I was on my feet so much that I was developing callouses on the bottoms of my feet. And I think that I developed a Jones fracture from that job also.

Depends on the poster's definition of a platform. Some platforms are pretty trendy right now. A number of my heels have a slight platform, but they still have a thin 4"-5" heel.

No type of platforms are trendy now. Trust me. Perhaps only those slight 1/2" ones, but we can't even really call them platforms.

Mine too! Although it's more for comfort because my feet don't like to be flat. That's bad for the feet and the back, and they are really awkward to walk in (flat flip flops), IMO.

Tall women do tend to command more attention. My cousin is only 5'11" and this Dr used to take her out once in awhile, although to very very nice places, because he liked being seen with her (he is only about 5'7"), it didn't hurt her being svery attractive of course. She always wears 2-3 inch heals as well.

I will have to disagree, some platforms are very sexy and they look good with the right outfit
