I roll out of bed, get dressed, and walk out the door. Just make sure I have a key to get back in, usually grab a soda before I leave, and some puzzle books for me to work on if I have to sit around bored anywhere.
I'm extremely vain, so I check everything before I leave! Then, I check it again in my visor mirror before I get out of my car to go wherever the hell I'm going! LOL
I usually just get dressed upstairs, then I come down, check to see if I have my phone, keys and watch, and leave! I'm not too fussy...before getting out of my car I'll check myself in the mirror, however.
Before I leave my bedroom, I look in the full-length mirror at my hair, make-up and outfit (no runs in stockings, missing buttons or stains; nothing unzipped; shoes are clean). Then downstairs I glance in the front entry mirror to make sure my coat/scarf look okay. Finally, I check for my keys.
Great poll! And you said schmutz!! Love it (one of my "jersey words")! I picked 3 things, as far as the face, have to make sure no UFOs have landed there. (F = foreign)

Things I check before leaving out the door:
1. My keys, purse, phone, and money in the wallet of my purse.
2. If my makeup looks natural (nothing smeared anywhere, like mascara tends to sometimes). If I have an even amount of mascara on each eye.
3. And if my clothes look right for the occasion (not too dressy and not too sloppy either). Normally putting my clothes on is the last thing I do before leaving the house, so it doesn't take me long to check.
Before I walk out the door I make sure I have everything (keys, wallet, phone, ect) before I do anything else. Sometimes if I'm in a rush, I'll do the survival checklist and run out the door and then check my hair/makeup in the car once I reach my destination.
I usually have a real, honest to goodness bed-head without doing it so, but I make sure my clothes are in order - matching, pressed, shoes are clean, and get all my survival gear together.
