Holy cow! Max Factor was probably THE oldest cosmetics firm in America. Really surprised.

Can't help with mascara suggestions, though. I, too, have tried numerous brands but I keep going back to Maybellene.

I know this is an old thread, but I am having Max Factor mascara withdrawls! I used Max factor since I was in high school and that was a log long time ago. Have tried a few others and nothing compares. Anyone successfully switch to something else and like it?

Ulta makes an excellent water-proof mascara and Loreal makes an excellent water-proof mascara remover.

I have not had good luck with mascara. I need waterproof that doesn't flake (due to contacts) and doesn't clump.

I went onto MakeupAlley and searched for the highest rated mascara that also had the largest amount of reviews.

The one I found that met these criteria was Maybelline Volum'Express The Classic Wateproof

I was skeptical, but tried it.

It has become my favorite mascara hands-down- no flaking, no clumping, thick lashes. Love it!!!

Default Still searching for Max Factor mascara

Tried Covergirl (several types), Mabelline, NYC, Loreal, Revlon, Clinique, Estee Lauder and a few others. None have compared to Max Factor. I am lost w/o it, but adjusting.
Someone just told me about Femme Coutoure (spelled right?). I will try that next. Wish me luck.

I have tried many, many different 'waterproof' and 'smudgeproof' mascaras and unfortunately, most of them end up running underneath your eyes;

However... the top 2 that truely take 8-10 hours to begin smudging or smearing are:

1. The Max Volume Flash Waterproof Mascara by Rimmel (hot pink tube with blue writing).
2. Dior Show Waterproof Mascara (pricier alternative)

Covergirl, Almay, Wet N' Wild, Revlon, and Physicians Formula waterproof mascaras have all ended up smudging or smearing.
