I am recieving an award next week. To get ready for the dinner I planned to get hair color and a cut. Today my stylist was sick and another person did my hair. The color is fine but she cut my hair too short! I even showed her a picture of what my regular stylist does. I kinda look like a boy and I know it won't grow enough in three days to make much of a difference.
Congratulations on the award! Makeup can help. I would really do your eyes and also use a contour for your cheeks. Since the ceremony will be in the evening, you can wear quite a bit of eye makeup and make sure that you have used enough mascara and that it isn't clumped. If you need help, visit the makeup counter where you buy your cosmetics. The right makeup will make you look fabulous and you will feel confident. By the evening of your award ceremony, you will also be more comfortable with your shorter hair.
Thank you! I went and bought some new mascara, I think it's called lash explosion by loreal. I considered false eyelashes but didn't think I could put them on. I do have nice cheekbones and hopefully contouring them right will help. I usually don't put make up on before I get a haircut and afterward I couldn't look in the mirror that long!

Can make up help? Suggestions please!
I wore pixie short hair for most of my life and always played my eyes up. Alot depends on what your color tones are and the lighting/time of the event. Sometimes you can go too dark with the eye makeup and it can look "halloweenish". Bronzers w/shimmer are always nice to put on your cheeks for warmth and a little glow factor. I use it on my cheeks and the brush my jawline, neck, forehead with it.
Cat eyeliner with a sheer monotone eyeshadow (soft non-sparkle satin or matte). Modest & conservative though. That always fems everyone's face out. If it looks too harsh try a smoky version. Hi-gloss lips in pink or coral.
Just wanted everyone to know that the night was a success! Everyone liked my hair and I got lots of compliments on my dress and we had a lot of fun! Thanks for all the great suggestions!
Really happy to hear that it went well. All that worrying for nothing! Congrats again.
