I found this article interesting. It confirms a lot of what I believe about this region's potential.

Interesting article: our daughter read one the other day, but I don't know where, about Bentonville being in the top 10 cities for grown in the next 10 years.
Now tell me why Trader Joe's isn't begging us to open here, instead of us begging them to come. There has to be a reason. The gal at Aldi's said it had to do with the restrictions on wine, a % of the wine, sold in our stores must be from AR. I don't think that is the reason, I think that law was only set up when Benton Co went wet, last year and only for the immediate future. They don't have to build in Benton Co, Washington Co would be just fine.

Now an article from CNN Money on the same topic. Seems NWA is finally getting some national press for the amazing things happening here;

Wal-Mart's backyard is a hotbed for startups - Aug. 9, 2013

This makes a lot of sense. With Wal-mart, startups seem like a no brainer in the retail world. I actually worked along side the girl in that article for a different company. Good for her.

Wal-Mart has just created the ecosystem here. Talent, technology, infrastructure. That, combined with great quality of life and low costs of doing business make it a good area for anyone who wants to give it a try.

3 Fortune 500 companies call this little metro home base. Another 1300 companies have offices here.

There aren't many metros of any size that can make that claim, let alone one with NWA's other intangibles.

Lightning in a bottle.
