I find the marina area around Bella Vista to be relaxing. You can play with your pontoon or power boat (even fish - we caught one) around the lake and have a very upscale house that I consider to be quite reasonable for being on a lake. Finding a lot will be difficult because I've tried. Lake lots on the main lake are gone, you might find something on one of the other 7 lakes near by but I believe there is only two wake lakes.

If your friend is looking for a real wake lake almost like being on the ocean go to Beaver Lake. I personally have looked at both. There is a very nice subdivision on acreage down near Eureka Springs. Must be this side (Rogers) because every time we go to Eureka, we drive down the subdivision (hilly). I will be in Bella Vista this weekend but not Eureka but will try to figure out where that subdivision is. Mind you it is quite hilly. Not like say Table Rock where you walk out on to the water, you'd probably have to stair you way down and most lots are not on the river but they do have boat docks there. Last time I was there they had a ferry or whatever type of boat that took you around the lake and even served dinner.

If you get as far as purchasing a lake lot on Beaver Lake, be very specific about whether you can construct a boat dock. The Parks Service has gotten restrictive about giving people permits, and they will force you to remove it if you don't have a permit.
