I know it's tough with kids in school, but I really enjoy getting out on the week days as most of the fun spots are much less busy. Devils Den is packed on the weekends, but sometimes you can find yourself enjoying the trails by yourself on the week days. As for ideas, you've basically covered everything that I would suggest, aside from some dirt car racing in either Fort Smith or Siloam Springs. Also, The Northwest Arkansas Naturals baseball season starts in just a few days. Most Friday nights, they put on a firework show after the game and Sundays is kids day. On Sundays, all kids I believe get a free hotdog and drink. If you go on a Sunday, sit on the first base side. A section on the 3rd base side is the kids section, but they give the kids inflatable bat noise maker things and it gets rater annoying. Best part of all, tickets for the games are very reasonable! Aside from those two sports, I typically enjoy driving to all the hiking areas. Make sure to ask the locals near Ponca about the hidden jewels in the area. There are TONS of waterfalls and overlook trails near there that not many people know about. Some are kid friendly, others not so much.

Dirt car racing in Fort Smith? I think you might mean the tri-state speedway in Pocola. There is one in Crawford County too.

Theres a place in Barling that has an indoor dirt RC car track thing, the parking lot is pretty crowded some weekend nights. Maybe there are some in NWA too if you look.

Yeah, that's the one. I've never been, but it's so close to Fort Smith that I just gave it to Fort Smith. I've only ever been to Siloam. I think I'll go to Tri-State from now on. West Siloam Speedway could definitely use some renovations.

Another suggestion, Lake Leatherwood near Eureka Springs.

We always hike at Lake Leatherwood when we visit Eureka Springs. There is so much to do in Eureka alone though.
