Yes, Foxy, the "correct" way to argue or make your point is to call the poster who's trying to help you "Ignorant".

Gonna go out on a limb here: Quack15 joined in 2014. It's now two years later, so assuming the 15 is how many years old he is, he is probably now 17. A very young, very arrogant 17.

Sigh.

I expect this thread to be deleted soon.

I whent to the british school or arguing, where we treat people with respect and try to be polite...dang british upbringing...
always had a hard time witht he transition to these strange Americanisms...will remember that for future reference...
when in disagreeance with someone simply stomp my feet have a tantrum and call them ignorant and ill feel better?! so act like a spoilt child....

hmmm...explains a lot...

Fish are just so much easier to understand LOL!

quack got the personal upgrade form pest to troll and I don't like feeding trolls so he got the block treatment, wonder if its like those creatures that if they don't get enough directed attention they eventuallyjust...fade away...lol

Still awaiting for a solid argument that dispute my statement that rosy barbs are good goldfish tank mates.

I think any where in the lower 60s to the upper 60s would be find for both.

goldfish CAN do find at 68, however, they are more prone to fungal issues like fin rot and ich in temps above the upper 50's. golds also tend to need more food and produce more waste at higer temps...
the barbs would do fine at 68, but that temp rnge is just NOT ide for goldfish...goldfish kept at temps ieal for even a cooler water rosey barb are going to need MORE frequent water changes, fancy slow moving goldfish like orandas and ryunkins are also VERY likely to end upw itht hier fins shredded even by the relitivly peacefull roseys...

we must remember that goldfish are a specialized mountain carp, they come from high elevation fast moving COLD mountain streams...

a tank no armer than 62 (64 is pushing it for goldies to realy thrive) and a school of whitecoud mountin minnows would be a MUCH more appropriate setup for goldfish,
66-70 in a biotrope setting more appropriate for barbs...
but some people don't care about appropriate...
