Wow, hadn't heard it was ongoing till 5 PM. Right now there's a lot of sun shining out there with a little wind. I have to leave for work in about ten minutes but it's a 'short day' so will be home by 7 PM.

Will do my best not to get "sucked up". lol

To say this weather is unusual is putting it mildly. I'm 6 hours NE of you folks, that was some of the most wicked winds I've seen here in some time, and our local weather guy on NBC says the next wave is coming purty quickly.

NBC Nightly News showed some pictures of the tornado west of Flagstaff. Hope you guys are ok down there!

Well, things are calm here in the valley, I hope that means the worst is over for you up North. Nothing more is coming your way from down here yet anyway.

It is very, very unusual, This kind of tornadoes never happen in Arizona.
Arizona is not tornado ally.

Can you believe this was the day we picked to go to the Grand Canyon? Nothing like heading straight for the storm.

Thankfully everything turned out okay. I heard there were no injuries from the tornadoes.

Oh my, thats exactly why I posted it. I was worried someone might be driving up during the storm. Glad you weren't harmed.

I was shocked by how much damage actually occurred up there. I feel for the people having to clean up and recover.

Heres hoping we aren't the new "tornado" alley due to the earths never ending changing cycles. Long ago we use to have earthquakes and active volcanos too. Hope that doesn't come back around.

Oh gads!! I hope you didn't get caught in any of the peripheral "stuff"! And thankfully, a tornado like that, here, is reallllly rare.

Was that your first trip to the Canyon? What did you think? I think the word "awesome" was made just for the Canyon!
