First of all thank you for the forum and thank you for all members.

I am planning to study for four years in flagstaff. With my wife, my son(7 months) and my daughter(7 months old).

I am from Saudi and I do not know anything about it, please advice me.

It is a nice choice?

Well it's VERY different from Saudi Arabia (although not that much different from college towns in the rest of the US).

It's green, mountainous, it gets cold, it doesn't get really hot. Compared with the rest of Arizona it's quite liberal. And if you don't know what that means- part of studying abroad is finding out.

You won't have to drive far if you want to be in a hot desert just like home.

My friend I try to go away from the desert for some years.

Flagstaff is not so hot because it's up in the mountains. But a fairly short ride will bring you down into hot desert.

There's a very loud railroad system going through Flagstaff - if you are sensitive to noise from train whistles, you should be sure to get an apartment well away from the tracks.

Craigslist.org is the place most of us look for better deals than going to a realtor. No middleman, you deal directly with the owner or manager. Here are ads for 2 bedroom apartments in Flagstaff: flagstaff apts/housing for rent classifieds "flagstaff" - craigslist

I got accepted at the University of Northern Arizona.

My English is not good I do not have many options! and I like to visit Arizona. I have a good idea for many states, but I do not know much about Arizona.

Do you think that Flagstaff is not a good choice?
