I have stayed at several hotels in Flagstaff. The good, the bad and the just plain ugly. As pointed out some of them have been there since Route 66 was popular and you can literally park your car outside your bedroom door! Mostly I stayed at the Travelodge @ NAU Conference Center-good prices (direct thru their site) and I think they had a free basic breakfast (??). A little hard to find. Of course, it depends on how far off the freeway you want to get and (of course) what you are willing to pay. You could get a hearty breakfast at Mike & Ronda's The Place - just up the street. It's a college town (but the last time I checked NO DONUT SHOP!!)
