During monsoon months of June-August, a thunderstorm with rain in the afternoon is very common. In my limited experience, it is usually in midafternoon, around 2 or 3 pm. I don't know that anyone can be more specific than that.. Sometimes it might be earlier, sometimes later, sometimes not at all. The last time I was up there, last August, it rained really hard one afternoon, then only acted like it would the next two days, the clouds came in (fairly late in the afternoon the second day) but nothing happened.

Monsoon season usually starts July 4th, but that can vary. June is normally a month without much rain - the chance is greater as you near the end of the month. Lately monsoon season has started later than July 4th.

June is usually pretty dry, and so is most of July. The last half of July, it starts to get pretty wet. The monsoon season is more intense in Flagstaff than in other parts of the state, and the wet weather lasts a bit longer. Phoenix drys out by the beginning of September, but Flagstaff can stay relatively wet up until the beginning of October.

The monsoon doesn't really bring long drawn out rain storms though - they form quickly, bring sudden downpours, and than its sunny again. In the southern part of the state, they happen mostly in the late afternoon, though they seem to be more unpredictable in northern AZ. During my time in Flagstaff, being woken up to thunder and rain in the morning was not uncommon. But, like I said - they pass quickly. Nothing to really ruin your day.. just find some shelter for a bit and then go about your business.

if you're outside at the flea market, be ready for wind and sudden colder temps, too, in addition to possible rain and thunder/lightning.....

The Monsoons in Northern Arizona are unpredictable. From year to year they can be exceptionally wet, with severe thunderstorms on a regular basis....to relatively weak, with a daily sprinkle.

June, as the others said, is a very safe month for a flea market. Outside of that, it's anyone's guess.
