Need info. ASAP, leaving April 15. Flying into Phoenix on Tuesday. Nite late, Wednesday & Thurs. in Sedona ( booked Hilton) fri. In Winslow at La Poseda to see Grand Canyon, sat. & Sun. Either in Scottsdale or Mesa, leave Mon. Pm for home. Need input on where to stay Mon. Pm. Not too far from airport/clean, safe...looking at Hampton Inn? Want to see Desert Botanical Garden & Heard Museum, hot air balloon ride in either Scottsdale or Sedona, chapel of Holy Cross, Jeep ride to vortex in Sedona & red rocks, trolley tour of Sedona? Any where else in Sedona area? Do we need to do trolley tour or is driving ourselves ok-have rental car? What is in Scottsdale area that is worth a visit? Frank Lloyd Wright house? Where to shop for leather belts, Native American ornaments, native Am. Made silver & bead jewelry, moccasins, etc. would like to know if you feel Monument Valley or Chulley National Park are doable with these location stays. Open to all suggestions. Is the south rim of Grand Canyon driveable to see views & to park car to walk & see sunset?

First off, why did you choose Winslow? I'd suggest Williams; it's closer to the Grand Canyon than Winslow is, and I think it's a little nicer there too. Do the hot air balloon ride in Sedona, if they offer it. Scenery would be much more interesting, IMO. Here's how I'd do it:
Arrive PHX Tues, drive to Sedona. Stay in Sedona Wed. Thursday.
Friday spend most of morning in Sedona, drive to Grand Canyon S. Rim and catch the sunset. Head back, check into Williams hotel that evening. I'd personally book a hotel near the Grand Canyon and spend Saturday there also...not too much of a Scottsdale fan. That way, you can head back into the park the next day and do more exploring, rim hike, etc. I'd then leave Saturday afternoon and drive down Oak Creek Canyon and spend another night in Sedona. Casually enjoy the morning on Monday and drive back to PHX to catch your flight. Monument Valley and Canyon De Chelley is quite a drive and not worth it based on your time constraints. If you stayed in Page I'd say it was do-able.
