Based out of Montana, HuHot sees strong July increases. Company opening 9 locations in 2017 and Q1 in 2018. This will be the first HuHot in Arizona, opening in Flagstaff. For fast casual Mongolian buffet, this is your place.

I'd like to see them open a 2nd location in Prescott/PV.

Another reason I'm glad I'll be near Flagstaff soon!

There is a Mongolian BBQ place in Prescott up near Gail Gardner...anyone try it out? I've been meaning to get there but it is a bit of a ways for me.

My guess is the demographic that everyone loves to hate will largely decide that it's too much money. All-you-can-eat places net out to be expensive if you don't eat much. I know I hate subsidizing the "I'm going back for thirds!" people, so we avoid such restaurants.

One way to keep from turning off oldsters would be to offer senior meals. I wonder if HuHot will do that.

I don't think Sizzler would have closed most of their stores if the blue-hair contingent had been willing to pay for the all-you-can-eat soup, salad and dessert bar. Same thing with Fresh Choice.

The Mongolian BBQ place in Prescott closed...good on the owner for trying. Hopefully they move on to bigger and better.

Kind of wonder why Fazoli's flopped in Arizona. They seem to be a mainly Eastern/Midwestern outfit these days.

Most of Arizona outside Phoenix lacks a variety of non American greasy spoon diners, which is the big problem. Either people are close minded when it comes to different food or people are too cheap to spend money on higher quality restaurants.

I think Arizona remains largely a burger and pizza state, with Mexican food a close third.

Nothing wrong with that, I personally love burgers, pizza, steak and all that jazz. However, we need more variety of ethnic restaurants and foodie types, like Greek, Korean, Vietnamese, Mediterranean that satisfies the taste palate. I want to try them all.
