Long story shot, one cannot trust the reviews alone on Hotels.com because some hotels/motels ith 2 stars wind up being pretty awesome. Some with 3 stars sometimes deserve NO STARS. Tell me what is my best bet for a motel in Flagstaff that will NOT be a dive, AND be reasonably priced at such a time of the year. I will only need 1-2 night(s) as I will only be passing thru Flagstaff mid-July

Flagstaff is a gateway to the Grand Canyon. A lot of people stay there, run up to see the Canyon for the day and return in the evening. July is the height of the tourist season. You do the math.
