Can anyone tell me how much of a scorpion problem exists in Clarkdale? Are some parts of Clarkdale scorpion free? Thank you!

I don't know particularly about Clarksdale, but in general desert areas are at risk of having scorpions. A house, or an apartment complex, might or might have them. It seems like if a place has them they are very hard to get rid of. You can spray to kill the things they eat but scorpions themselves are hard to completely irradiate. I'd be more concerned about black widows though that are prevalent all over AZ. Most scorpion stings will be extremely uncomfortable for a few days then they fade. Black widows can mess you up.

Best to check the specific location you are concerned about in Clarksdale. If the place comes back clean you are 99% OK. Scorpions and other critters are just part of life in many areas. Clarksdale probably is less of a risk then say Phoenix.

Probably not scorpion free considering the type of area it is. Some desert, trees and the river. I lived in Clarkdale for a few years and don't recall seeing any scorpions but Black Widow spiders! I've lived in three different homes in the past 20 years and only ever saw one scorpion. It was dead. Haven't seen a one in this house or even in the yard. I don't live far from Clarkdale now. I'd say it's not much to worry about but, as in all things, be aware.

You might just call one of the pest control companies in town and get their advice. They'd be the ones to know.
