I drove down to Prescott on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend a couple of years ago with my youngest son. We thought it would be fun to come back (Flagstaff) up 89A through Sedona and Oak Creek Canyou.
Yeah, it was a stupid decision but gave us a lot of insight about what a mess Sedona is these days. Beautiful rocks, but I can see them from BLM or USFS lands on the Mogollon Rim rather than drive through that nightmare again.
