I don't see any ads, do you? Perhaps the blog was trying to perform a public service by airing issues that should be discussed?

Thanks, Mike! I still don't see any ads on the site. Why is it that you see ads but I can't?

It's right before the responses and probably only on that page. Probably need a certain amount of hits on the page before it comes up maybe.

Some people will believe anything. 200 miles from the coast in Florida means uh...the other coast.

Since the puppetmasters have figured out that there are a LOT of fruit loops out there that will seize on any conspiracy theory, they are cropping up like crab grass. Some do it for fun, some believe their own baloney, and some have other things in mind.

I think even PT Barnum would be shocked at how many lunatics this country is now producing. Tell them the plausible truth and they don't believe it. Tell them some nutty story that doesn't add up and they hop onboard that fast.

I'm not sure if our educational system is failing them, coporations have manipulated their minds so much that they no longer have any common sense or we've put so many warning labels on things that we are no longer thinning the herd.

My brother has a wordpress blog, so this issue really bothers me. I contacted wordpress support and this is the answer I got:

"To support the service (and keep free features free), we do sometimes run advertisements."

In other words, wordpress was inserting ads without the blog's knowledge. As the saying goes, "There's no such thing as free!"

If this had a single shred of truth, why isn't there a single mention of it anywhere else on the internet? Sounds like someone is in panic mode. imho anyway.

A lot of these crazy blogs, maybe even most of them, start with kernels of truth, then build their crazy theories on top of them. As you say, some do it to stir the pot, some believe it and yes, maybe some are even paid to stir up needless fears and hysteria. If enough people are frightened enough, they can be manipulated into doing things they might not otherwise do. Remember, we have had plenty of doomsday prophecies that have not transpired - remember Y2K? Even I was a little scared of what might happen, which happend to be......NOTHING! Back in the 70's, many psychics were predicting a "pole shift", and also the "antichrist". Nothing...... How about the crazies implying that our own government was responsbible for 911? One can find all sorts of fear mongering on the internet these days.

There is so much "information" and blogs posted as "news" without any credible sources cited easily available via internet these days one can find all sorts of stories about anything, pro or con, which serves certain interests or agendas. I always tend to believe that the truth is somewhere in the middle. Maybe that's just my Libra personality, but it works for me.
